Greetings from the Heart of the Golden West!  You’ve found the blog of Miss Dixie Rae Sparx.  I’m a not-going-quietly-into-middle-age, hard working professional, geographically single mom to a spirited Young daughter and an angel son gone too soon.  As a “Type A -” wannabe over achiever with unfolded laundry & a messy kitchen, I struggle to maintain sanity and still do the things I love:  farming, cooking, canning, and managing my muffin top.  I find martinis help with all but maybe the last one.  Settled on the eastern slope of the Sierras, I recently acquired an acre and a half of suburban, countrified heaven.  Here I go, tilling & cooking, with smattering  of pixie ballet classes and 4H.  You’ll find my musings, photo journal, with a smattering of redhead pride, Sagittarius flights of fancy, true love remembrances, and no shortage of pin-up girls.  Sorry ahead of time if my cussing offends….
